Nervy are returning after years of silence thanks to PKO Bank Polski
After years away from the stage, Nervy are making their comeback—and they are doing it with a bang. Ahead of the release of their second…
Audioriver Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The organizers are promising both a return to electronic music classics and the arrival of young wolves who care nothing for traditional genre divisions.
The following artists have just confirmed their appearance: Ben Klock ★ Born On Road ★ Boys Noize ★ Cranz b2b Danté ★ Effy ★ Kream ★ LB Aka Labat b2b Naked Relaxing ★ Len Faki ★ Mall Grab ★ Mano Le Tough ★ Shimza ★ The Prodigy
The festival’s headliner is The Prodigy. They are one of the most important groups in popular music. Their achievements in the 1990s popularized electronic music among fans of other genres, including rock and hip hop, giving rave culture a punk face. The Prodigy remain in incredible live shape, playing a comprehensive selection of material from their classic albums as well as the best tracks from their newer records.
Performing before the Brits will be Boys Noize, a producer and DJ who moves across multiple disciplines. On the club scene, he is known for his accessible vision of EBM, an 80s sound that blends synth-pop and post-punk. Beyond that, he expresses himself by working on film scores, among other projects, having collaborated with Trent Reznor on films such as “Challengers” and “Tron: Ares”. He was also awarded a Grammy for the single “Rain on Me”, which he produced for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
The Berlin scene will be represented by Ben Klock and Len Faki, residents of Berghain who have been shaping the city’s sound for over two decades – deep, raw, yet still connected to the music’s roots originating in Detroit. Meanwhile, Cranz b2b Danté represent the Gdańsk club Crackhouse, but their sound also references classic, underground vibes.
At the opposite end of the spectrum is the music played by Effy, Mall Grab, and LB aka Labat, who will perform b2b with Naked Relaxing. Their fast, light sounds are based on a mix of vibes: from hard house and trance to speed garage. A completely new kind of dance music is being created on this foundation.
The afro house scene will be represented at the festival by Shimza, one of the biggest stars from South Africa. The Norwegians from the duo Kream, who are popular in Poland, will play a euphoric, melodic set. The lineup is completed by the Born on Road collective from Bristol, who specialize in drum & bass seen from the perspective of Jamaican soundsystem culture.
This lineup has just joined the previously announced Nico Moreno, Novah, Mischluft, Parisi, Rusko, and Øtta.
