AR Sun/Day 19
We are announcing the artists who will perform during the 5th edition of Audioriver Sun/Day, the event that closes the Płock festival on Sunday afternoon. The announced performers include Damian Lazarus, Brina Knauss, DAVI, Kissy Sell Out and Jaguar Skills.
Sun/Day is Audioriver’s third day held not on the beach, but in a nearby park filled with warm and danceable music, colorful decorations and artistic installations. This year the 5th edition of the event will take place and for many people it is an obligatory part of the festival program. This is confirmed by the number of sold tickets – three-day tickets including Sun/Day were sold out more than 3 months before the start of Audioriver, and a limited number of one-day tickets will be available only at the gates.
The 5th edition of Sun/Day could not miss Damian Lazarus, a friend of the festival and the artist, who closed the music part of Audioriver four times during Sunday evenings with his memorable performances. The Brit is a great DJ and producer, as well as one of the most charismatic characters on the stage today, which has contributed to the promotion of many talents as a producer. On his label, Crosstown Rebels, Maceo Plex, Jamie Jones and Art Department released their early records.
Damian Lazarus will be accompanied by the artists from his Rebellion label. Brina Knauss began her musical career in Slovenia and then moved to Milan, where she worked as a model and then began to act as a DJ at club events. This year she made her debut with an EP titled “DJing”. That year she debuted with an EP entitled “Sledi Toku”. DAVI, on the other hand, could play acoustic guitar at the age of 15, and later, after vocal classes at Yerevan Komitas State and local shows, moved to Los Angeles. Now he has released on such labels as Rebellion and Anjunadeep.
During Sunday afternoon on the last weekend of July in Płock, there will also appear artists who will play broken sounds in a lighter and sunny version. This special selection of songs will be presented by Seba, one of the most famous representatives of the genre, who will also perform on Friday night on the beach. Jaguar Skills is an artist valued not only by drum & bass fans, but also hip-hop enthusiasts. This was due to his world-famous mixtape “History Of Hip-Hop”, containing over 600 classical tracks mixed in the order of their release, i.e. from 1979 to 2006.
Kissy Sell Out, another artist in the Audioriver Sun/Day line-up, is also a valued DJ. The British man has had his own show on BBC Radio 1 for several years and has also produced remixes for Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris and Sugabababes. Vocal skills in Płock will be presented by Degs, who is associated with Hospital, where he released songs with the participation of London Elektricity and Etherwood.
Polish artists will also perform on the third day of Audioriver. Just like during the last two editions, Leon and Glasse will play a duet on Sun/Day. Leon is a DJ with over 15 years of experience, who has been associated with Audioriver since its beginning – he co-creates the program of the festival and is responsible for bookings of foreign artists. Glasse is also a DJ and promoter with many years of experience and impressive achievements of performing at leading festivals and clubs all over Poland. The second stage will feature a representative of the Poznań scene, i.e. k.o. and In-Deed– a producer whose releases attracted the attention of such famous figures as LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky or London Elektricity.
Three day tickets to the festival including Audioriver Sun/Day have been sold out, but a limited number of tickets for Sunday afternoon will be available for purchase at the gates. Two-day tickets for Friday and Saturday and one-day tickets for both days are available for sale online and at stationary points.
