Orbital, BICEP live, Gorgon City and others join the Audioriver 2020 line-up
We’re announcing the first artists of the 15th edition of the festival. This year, from 24th to 26th July, we will see: BICEP live, Gorgon City, The High Contrast Band, Len Faki, Mathame, Orbital, Paula Temple b2b SNTS, Spor and VTSS.
The first Audioriver 2020 headliner to be confirmed is Orbital. It is undoubtedly one of the most important projects in electronic music, which gained huge popularity in the ’90s. Although the duo stopped performing after a while, Orbital returned to producing together again. In 2019, 30 years have passed since their debut album “Orbital”. “Chime” and the Hartnoll brothers are on tour again. One of the stops in the group’s holiday schedule will be Audioriver.

Other talented duos from the UK will also perform in Plock, although they represent a completely different generation than Orbital. BICEP is formed by Matt BcBriar and Andy Ferguson, producers, DJs, label founders, and record collectors. Born in Belfast and living in London, the duo is considered to be one of the most interesting projects of the last decade, and the breakthrough in their career was the most expressive material in the form of their debut album released in 2017. After the success of the album, Matt and Andy performed at festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, Sonar, and Primavera. We will also have a chance to see them live in Plock.

Gorgon City is also one of the top British electronic projects, which has been successful in recent years thanks to a combination of house bass, catchy melodies, and distinctive vocals. As a result, they have gathered more than 675 million streaming service plays and a huge number of devoted fans around the world. The duo’s most famous productions come from their two studio albums “Sirens” and “Escape”, and recently Gorgon City music is also released by Crosstown Rebels, managed by Damian Lazarus.

The representatives of another well-known label, Afterlife, are the Giovanelli brothers, known as Mathame. They gained fame thanks to the songs “Skywalking” and “Nothing Around Us” – both productions were put on sets of many electronic top artists, headed by Tale Of Us. Their sets are also becoming more and more popular, which is confirmed by the number of views of the performance recorded in Mexico by Cercle television. Within 2 months, the recording was watched by over 1 000,000 people.

The artist who has been on stage much longer than Mathame is Len Faki. He is a great DJ, producer, and creator of the respected label Figure, which has over 100 releases in its catalogue. VTSS is one of the most interesting Polish producers, which is also famous abroad, as she recently joined the New York collective Discwoman. In her studio productions and live sets, she is distinguished by her enormous energy, being a combination of such genres as rave, acid or EBM.

This is not the end when it comes to more energetic electronic sounds. Paula Temple has been showing the world her own vision of techno for years, cooperating with R&S Records and 50 Weapons, for example, and SNTS is famous for its harsh, dark and live performances. At Audioriver, Paula Temple and SNTS will play together and it will be their first such performance in Poland.

SNTS – Pvrest Absolvtion
Every year Audioriver is also visited by representatives of the top of the drum & bass scene and the same will be true for the next edition of the festival. High Contrast has been known to the fans of the genre for many years, among others thanks to the releases at Hospital Records and remixes of Adele and Imogen Heap tracks. At Audioriver, we will hear him in a unique way, as he will perform on stage with a band. Spor (his second known alias is Feed Me) is also a valued producer, specializing in more heavy drum & bass sounds. His releases have been published in such catalogues as Shogun Audio or Neosignal.

Audioriver will take place in Plock on 24-26 July 2020. Tickets: https://bit.ly/35MX0wP
We’re announcing performers who will join the line-up of the 15th edition of the festival. On the last weekend of July in Plock we will see: Artbat, Bryan Gee ft. MC Felon, Catz ‘n Dogz, Dr. Rubinstein, Fred V, Joyhauser, Lane 8, Kas:st live, Viper Diva (Shlømo & Hadone) live, Zardonic & Fickle6 present Takeover and ZHU.
One of the most important concerts of the 15th edition of Audioriver will be the performance of an American producer ZHU. So far, he visited Poland only once – at the Płock festival in 2017. His groundbreaking single, “Faded”, has spread around the world in over 10 million copies and brought him a Grammy nomination. To work on his latest album “Ringos Desert” from 2018, ZHU invited guests from musically distant worlds, including Tame Impala and TOKiMONSTA.

A slightly different kind of electronic music than ZHU presents Lane 8 “Brightest Lights” on its new album. This is the third longplay in Daniel Goldstein’s career, who recently runs his own label called This Never Happened (previously associated with Anjunadeep). The material from the album released at the beginning of the year is a mixture of lighter variations of electronics, which sound great in any situation, from club parties, through festival stages to home Hi-Fi. Equally eclectic album has recently been released by Audioriver’s favourite regulars, Polish duo Catz ‘n Dogz. On the album entitled “Friendship”, Taco Hemingway, Rosalie. and WhoMadeWho have appeared as guests.

The year 2019 was undoubtedly a breakthrough in the career of the Artbat duo, whose tracks constantly appeared in the sets of such artists as Solomun, Joris Voorn and Pete Tong. Within 10 months, their performance in Rio De Janeiro was seen over 6 million times, not to mention dozens of other well received sets in the USA, Asia, Brazil and Europe. The French duo Kas:st, whose productions have recently been signed by the Afterlife, has also given many good performances. One of them – “The Hymn Of Fallen Dreams” was remixed by the owners of the label, that is Tale Of Us.

Kas:st – Hold Me To The Light (Tale Of Us Remix)
Dr. Rubinstein is one of the most expressive and lively characters on the DJ scene, who for years has been warming up the audience with a mixture of acid, electro and techno sounds. Stijn and Joris from the Joyhauser duo move around similar music areas, followed by Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte, increasingly well-known representatives of the Belgian scene. Energy will certainly not be lacking during the first Polish performance of Viper Diva, i.e. the duo behind which Shlømo and Hadone stand.

The festival’s line-up of representatives of drum & bass music is becoming more and more interesting, although there are still a dozen or so representatives of this trend to be announced. Fred Vahrman is a producer known from the Fred V & Grafix duo, which recently also focuses on solo music. Bryan Gee, on the other hand, is a veteran of the stage, known especially for his label V Recordings, where his productions were released by such icons of the genre as Goldie or Roni Size. The last of the announced projects was Zardonic & Fickle6 present Takeover.
