RYSY

RYSY

Although since his 2015 debut album Wojtek Urbański has become one of the pillars of Polish popular music, producing pop stars, soundtracks for TV series and making recordings of Robert Lewandowski’s heartbeat, the Rysy project he co-founded with Lukasz Stachurko continues to operate vigorously. Their latest album, 2021’s “4GET,” marked a clear shift toward more distinctly danceable rhythms than before. Rysy, however, is still a bittersweet project keeping listeners between melancholy and euphoria, delightful in their momentum. The video for the latest breakbeat single “Hertz,” which heralds a new era in the duo’s work, was co-written by artificial intelligence, but the emotions contained in the music are unmistakably human.

SAMURAI BREAKS

SAMURAI BREAKS

Samurai Breaks is young, fast and takes no prisoners. The nimble bass from under his fingers is a mix of breaks and jungle with a strong touch of footwork, UK garage, bassline or drum & bass. He has worked with labels such as Off Me Nut and Hooversound Recordings. He spices everything up with the essence of rave culture, as befits a British club music producer, of course.

SASSAFRAS TREE

SASSAFRAS TREE

DJ duo Sassafras Tree is based in Poznań, but has a DJ residency in Warsaw’s Piekło nad Niebem. Stylistically suspended between dark disco, indie dance and deep house, they spin mystical musical tales that delight at summer festivals and clubs around the country. Mitch recently made his debut as a producer, releasing a track on Otake, while Lewa manages HOUSE Szkolna.
