LP Giobbi is a DJ and producer who released her debut album “Light Places” this spring. As a jazz-trained artist, she can’t help but also use her talents during DJ-sets, going live on piano or modular synthesizer. She describes herself as a one-woman jam band. She grew up, after all, in a household run by two devotees of The Grateful Dead. Her wide-ranging musical interests can be heard in her sets that pay homage to the roots of club music, as well as in her productions. Her house music jamming has found recognition from the world’s biggest festivals and events.
LSDXOXO produced his first mixtapes more than a decade ago. This American artist first made his name in the local queer scene. Since then he has exploded out into the world thanks to experiments with the sounds of ballroom and Jersey club. In New York he launched his own party format, Floorgasm, which he also continued after moving to Berlin. Living in the German capital juxtaposed his hedonistic approach to life and genre mixing with the local techno culture, resulting in collaborative recordings with both VTSS and Eartheater, as well as sets mocking all rules.
