Kas:st live

Kas:st are creating an artistic universe of hypnotic rhythms, darkened melodies and emotions, exploring a singular and cinematic vision of Techno music. The French-born founders of Flyance Records are bringing an unmistakable edge to every expression of themselves – whether on their debut album ‘Road To Nowhere’, their string of stand-out EPs, powerful live show or their label, it’s distinctively Kas:st.

In 2016 they released ‘Dysphoria I Euphoria’ on Flyance, two essential double packs which refined their sound. Since then, Kas:st’s discography has grown with diverse and consistently-acclaimed releases for Materia, Concrete Music and Afterlife.

A defining moment in the ever-evolving path was the release of ‘Road To Nowhere’ in 2018. Given the scope of a unique album format, for which they released one track per month, as well as experiments with video, the duo displayed the breadth of what Kas:st can be.

As their musical universe grows, so does their touring schedule. Both their spellbinding live sets and adventurous DJ sets have entranced many of the best clubs and festivals worldwide. They have plans to develop their live show and test the boundaries of electronic music. Audio/visual elements, song-structured productions, vocalists and beyond, Kas:st won’t stop pushing forward.

Lane 8

Lane 8

Rather than pander to the purists or create music for DJs alone, Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 has always tread his own, distinctive path – perhaps best summed up by his phones-free event and label concept This Never Happened.

The concept is a simple one: remove all phones and cameras from the event, get back to connecting with the music and the people around you. And it is one that has been embraced with passion by Lane 8’s dedicated fanbase and the dance community at large with over. Since debuting the concept with a sold out show at San Francisco’s Mezzanine in 2016, Lane 8 has taken the concept to over 60 shows in four different continues – playing to over 50,000 completely connected fans in the process.

In tandem with the events, Daniel’s output on the TNH label has stood out for its integrity and artistry whether on emotional epics like ‘Little Voices’ or upbeat groovers such as ‘With Me’. Always defined by a melodic touch, TNH is the culmination of a steady, assured rise over recent years.

This musical progression continued this year when Lane 8 released his sophomore album ‘Little By Little’ on the TNH imprint. With it he delivered a record that distilled his unique flair for melodic, heart-warming electronics that are both classy and quirky, traversing reflective electronica, instrumental club epics and leftfield pop moments alike.

“Brightest Lights” is Lane 8’s third LP in his career. The material on the album, released at the beginning of the year, is a wide mixture of lighter variations of electronics, sounding great not only in club and festival spaces, but also while listening at home.
